“Forget the selfies – here’s what actually works on Tinder”
Howdy Brothers!!
In this fast moving era, with busy lifestyles and lack of time, online dating is pacing it’s way and is becoming popular with almost every age group.
More than 70 percent of the population has enrolled themselves in one or the other popular dating websites.
The platform that’s gained most popularity all over the world to meet your perfect match or just someone interesting is TINDER.
Growing popularity is directly proportional to the increasing competition.
As per survey the number of singles joining tinder is increasing by each day. Advantage – a wide pool of girls to approach.
Disadvantage – tough competition from other guys and a much needed effort for your dating profile to stand out.
That’s right brothers. We have received an increasing number of e-mails from many of you complaining that even though you have put in great efforts to make a good Tinder profile,
you are still not able to get the desired number of likes.
Now brothers with such a wide spread competition, good is not good enough.
Your dating profile needs to stand out. Basically for someone who is meeting you on Tinder, your profile is a reflection of who you are and what you are portraying to them.
A well-planned and executed profile will definitely be able to help you reach your goals in terms of getting the desired response.
Let us take you back to our very first blog:
How To Create An Optimum Dating Profile
In the blog we briefed you about how our dating instructor Mr. Arunav Gupta personally took upon this challenge
and after thorough research designed simple steps to make a dating profile that got him a whooping 700 plus likes in about a month’s time on Tinder.
How did he do this? Simple he focused on three simple things: Right selection of Pictures, A Good Story and A Crisp Bio.
In this blog, we have decided to focus on the aspect of selecting the right pictures.
But first let’s understand why selecting the right pictures is the most important step to making a profile that stands out.
Ever heard or used the term “Love at First Sight”? Well if you dig deeper, all it means is that you got attracted to the way someone looks.
It does not mean that you saw a girl and just by seeing her for the first time you fell in love with her soul. It is just a dramatic way of saying that you liked the way she looked.
As shallow as this may sound, but the hard reality is that you get judged on your physical attributes first and only later in the stage the emotional connection or wave length match happens.
Hence it is absolutely important to put your best pictures forward that not only makes you look good but also reflects the best and most interesting aspects of your personality.
Pick 5 carefully selected pictures and that’s all you need to start getting those desired likes:
1. A Full Body Picture: If you have it, flaunt it. Show them girl that you are in shape and what they are signing in for. Make sure your posture is upright and reflects confidence.
Since it’s a full body picture, be vary of what you wear. From your shirt, to pants/ jeans to your shoes and even socks, everything should be in compliment with each other. Keep it simple, keep it classy.

2. Love Sports? Well if you do, then don’t say it. Show it. Take out your favourite jersey and get a nice picture clicked flaunting it.
If you play a sport, even better. Show them your picture in action and flaunt the player in you.
Same goes for all you instrument players out there, a clear picture of you playing the instrument rather than writing about it leaves a better impression.
3. Dogs Are A Man’s Best Friend: This cannot be more true. Want to win their hearts and make them go all awe about you. Take a picture with your pet (preferably a dog).
This builds a perception of you being a compassionate person in general and makes girls go all gaga over you.
4. Vacation Ready: Definitely put a picture of you on a vacation.
Portrays what a fun loving and adventure savvy person you are and those beautiful locations in the background adds those extra brownie points to your picture.
5. The Last One: Well this can be any picture you like. Make sure it’s clear and preferably be the only person in your picture.
The entire focus should be on you. It can be a facial picture or a picture in which you are doing something you like, maybe dancing or singing or just posing.
Now remember guys try not to put pictures where you are wearing shades or hats.
Don’t hide yourself behind these accessories. As per surveys, pictures with hats and shades are far less liked/ popular amongst masses.
Also a picture clicked in daylight stands out much better than a picture clicked at night.
